BULLET: US CORPORATES: Some of tech giant Apple's (Aa1)......

Market News Intl Fixed Income Bullets – 11:50 AM ET 03/20/2015

US CORPORATES: Some of tech giant Apple's (Aa1) bonds are mixed on the day today after Moody's (MCO) said that the company's new HBO (TWX) subscription service is credit positive. Apple earlier in March announced the debut of its HBO NOW standalone subscription service via its iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and other devices. Moody's (MCO) noted that its credit positive analysis is mainly based on Apple not seeking "to create its own media and entertainment offerings, or make a significant acquisition of a large media company." The ratings agency added that by offering HBO Now "and potentially through a content light TV subscription service, Apple may generate $200 million to $300 million in annual revenue," which may offset recent losses in its iTunes business. Apple's 2.40% May 2023s were last -2 bps at T+60 bps; and its 2.50% Feb 2025s were last +2 bps at T+82 bps, per MarketAxess (MKTX). Overall, IG Corp bond cash spreads were last -0.6 bps at 122.1 bps with the tech sector -0.7 bps to 99.3 bps.
