    United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) again lowered its outlook for the year, stung by a weaker Canadian dollar and moderating sales growth. The company reported higher earnings and sales for its latest quarter, but both metrics rose less than analysts expected.

    United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) reported late Monday its fiscal third-quarter profit rose to $41.8 million, or 83 cents a share, from $36.4 million, or 73 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue for the three months ended May 2 rose nearly 19% to $2.11 billion from $1.78 billion. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had expected the natural and organic-foods distributor to earn 85 cents a share on $2.14 billion in sales.
