Sands China and Community Groups Work Together to Pack 20,000 Hygiene Kits for Clean the World
The hygiene kit build is an annual worldwide volunteer effort of Sands China's (SCHYF) parent company, Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) ; in 2014, Sands China (SCHYF) was the first integrated operator to launch such an event in
"The longevity of our eight-year partnership with Clean the World speaks to both its value and its success," said Dr.
This year's 20,000 hygiene kits were assembled at Cotai Expo on
The assembled kits will go to global charity Children International, who will distribute them to families in need in
The hygiene kits contain soap that has been collected from hotels at Sands China's (SCHYF) integrated resorts and recycled through Clean the World's soap sterilization and remanufacturing process. They also contain a pack of facemasks and an encouraging message from Sands China (SCHYF) and Clean the World.
And as with last year's hygiene kit build, Sands China (SCHYF) took additional hygiene precautions to ensure safety in a pandemic environment, including doing temperature checks and providing hand sanitizers and disposable gloves for the volunteers.

About Clean the World
Clean the World is a social enterprise dedicated to WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) and sustainability. It operates soap recycling centers and offices in Orlando, Montreal, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Washington DC, and Punta Cana and leads a "Global Hygiene Revolution" to distribute recycled soap and hygiene products from more than 8,000 hotel, resort and cruise partners. Clean the World's foundation provides WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) programming to benefit global communities with high pre-adolescent death rates due to acute respiratory infection (pneumonia) and diarrheal diseases (cholera) – which are two of the top killers of children under the age of five. Since 2009, the foundation has served over 15 million individuals and distributed 65 million bars of soap and 5 million hygiene kits in 127 countries.
