    Lufthansa orders CFM for 40 A320neo aircraft

    German airline Lufthansa said on Monday it had ordered engines worth more than 1 billion euros at list prices from CFM International. The LEAP-1A engines will be used on 40 new Airbus A320neo aircraft, part of a total order for 100 new aircraft of that model, Lufthansa said in a statement.

    Safran, AVIC in Pact to Supply 120 Engines

    PARIS--French aerospace supplier Safran SA (SAFRF) and its Chinese partner AVIC Dong'an signed an agreement to supply 120 helicopter engines to the new venture of Airbus Group (EADSF) in China. Airbus and AVIC signed an agreement to start manufacturing helicopters in China and take 50% of the Chinese market estimated to be worth 50 billion euros over the next 20 years. The order of 120 engines is just an initial order from the Airbus joint venture.
