    * THE BANK FOR INTERNATIONAL SETTLEMENTS ANNOUNCED TODAY A RENMINBI LIQUIDITY ARRANGEMENT - STATEMENT

    * BIS - RENMINBI LIQUIDITY ARRANGEMENT (RMBLA) WILL PROVIDE LIQUIDITY THROUGH RESERVE POOLING SCHEME TO PARTICIPATING CENTRAL BANKS FROM ASIA-PACIFIC

    * BIS - ARRANGEMENT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED WITH THE PEOPLE'S BANK OF CHINA (PBC), TO PROVIDE LIQUIDITY TO CENTRAL BANKS THROUGH A NEW RESERVE POOLING SCHEME

    * BIS - ARRANGEMENT INITIALLY INCLUDES GROUP OF CENTRAL BANKS IN ASIA AND PACIFIC, INCLUDING BANK INDONESIA, CENTRAL BANK OF MALAYSIA

    * BIS - ARRANGEMENT INITIALLY INCLUDES HONG KONG MONETARY AUTHORITY, THE MONETARY AUTHORITY OF SINGAPORE AND THE CENTRAL BANK OF CHILE, AS WELL AS PBC
