  • Denmark, Norway create joint travel zone -Norway PM

    Norway and Denmark will resume free travel between the two Nordic countries from June 15, Norway's Prime Minister said on Friday. "We can't make a too sudden opening that would jeopardise everything we've accomplished," Erna Solberg told a news conference. The travel zone does not include Scandinavian neighbour Sweden, where the number of COVID-19 infections is higher.

  • Brazil's economy shrinks 1.5% in Q1 as coronavirus hits

    Brazil's economy contracted by 1.5% in the first quarter of the year, government statistics agency IBGE said on Friday, as the coronavirus outbreak in March triggered the steepest quarterly drop in almost five years. The decline of Brazil's gross domestic product from the prior quarter was in line with the median forecast in a Reuters poll.
