Speculators raise net short U.S. dollar bets -CFTC, Reuters data

NEW YORK, Sept 25 (Reuters) - U.S. dollar net shorts increased, after falling for three straight weeks, according to calculations by Reuters and Commodity Futures Trading Commission data released on Friday.

The value of the net short dollar position hit $33.60 billion in the week ended Sept. 22, from net shorts of $30.9 billion the previous week. U.S. net shorts hit a more than nine-year high of $33.68 billion in late August. (Reporting by Gertrude Chavez-Dreyfuss Editing by Chris Reese)
