CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as miners, energy stocks rise

Oct 25 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index rose on Monday, led by gains in the energy and materials sectors as commodity prices rose, while investors awaited a policy announcement from the Bank of Canada later in the week.

* At 9:32 a.m. ET (1332 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 49.81 points, or 0.23%, at 21,265.96.
