SNAPSHOT-India stocks, rupee, swaps, call at 1300 IST

MUMBAI, Sept 29 (Reuters) - STOCKS: The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 153.73 points, or 0.27%, to 56,444.55, while the broader NSE index gained 3.75 points, or 0.02%, to 16,862.35, after staying higher in early session, as traders cut positions ahead of monthly derivative expiry on Thursday. RUPEE: The Indian rupee weakened 0.60% versus the U.S. dollar, and quoted at 81.92 per dollar, amid likely dollar demand from oil importers. GOVERNMENT BONDS: Benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 99.50 rupees, with yield unchanged at 7.3304%; vs previous close of 7.3340%, as traders brace for another ate hike by the RBI on Friday. OVERNIGHT INDEXED SWAPS: The one-year overnight indexed swap rate was down 1 bps at 6.84%, while the benchmark five-year swap rate fell 7 bps to 6.87%. CALL MONEY/REPOS: India's overnight call money rate was up 5 bps at 5.70% against 5.65% in the previous session. The overnight TREPS rate was at 5.65%, compared with the previous day's weighted average of 5.6513%. (Reporting by Dharamraj Lalit Dhutia)
