Speculators cut short dollar bets in latest week - CFTC, Reuters data

Dec 2 (Reuters) - Speculators cut their net short U.S. dollar positions in the latest week, according to calculations by Reuters and U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission data released on Friday.

The value of the net short dollar position was $938 million in the week ended Nov. 29, compared with a net short of $1.82 billion the previous week.

The Reuters calculation for the aggregate U.S. dollar position is derived from net positions in the yen, euro, British pound and Swiss franc, as well as the Canadian and Australian dollars. (Reporting By Karen Brettell; editing by Diane Craft)
